Resting beside the lovely Boise River, Julia Davis Park's 86 acres are filled with utopian beauty, both natural and refined. It contains some of the city's top cultural institutions, including the Boise Art Museum, the Black History Museum and the Idaho State Historical Museum, or, for the younger crowd, the Discovery Center of Idaho and Zoo Boise. It is populated with many pieces of public art, has a spectacular rose garden and is a main location for community events, like the annual Art in the Park festival in September. The park is located right in downtown Boise next to the river, connected to other park spaces by the Boise River Greenbelt.
Open daily dawn - dusk. Museum hours vary.
Free. Museum prices vary.
