OK, round two, visit to Addie's. Again, not great, not bad, priced cheap. I got the pancakes which were very good, along with the standard sausage link (seemed a little greasier this time), and a poached egg. Food took a long time to arrive. The poached egg was a little under done and they left a ton of water in the dish. I had to drain it all. Egg was a disappointment. Wife had an omlette which was not what I would expect an omlette to look like. The outside was a very dark brown. (WOW I didn't know eggs could look like that!) and seemed to be overcooked. Filling material, turkey, avocado and swiss cheese topping were OK. Omlettes are not that hard to do, but I think they botched this one. Her toast was great, thick slices. Hash browns were standard. So be careful what you order, some stuff is good, but don't let the menu options fool you. Stick with the no-brainer stuff, eggs, bacon potatoes, toast, kinda stuff. Price is right, but I still think Goldy's is far better in quality, service and atmosphere. P.S. Speaking of omlettes, we later had the omlette of absolute perfection at La Vie En Rose......

I finally got to try Addie's a couple of days ago. I had never been there before so I had no idea how huge the portions would be. Both my boyfriend and I ordered a breakfast burrito and when they came out I was really shocked. That thing was huge! I think the first thing I said to my boyfriend was "I didn't know they made tortillas this big." The food was delicious and the prices are more than fair considering the size of things. My only complaint is even though they weren't too busy the service wasn't very good. I ordered some pancakes along with the burrito and they completely forgot about them. At first I thought the waitress just didn't bring them out with the burritos because she couldn't carry it all. Then when I realized it wasn't the case it took her a good while before returning to the table so I could ask her about it. It's not a big problem and I would definitely still eat here when I am in the mood for a giant breakfast.
